about LA’TIANA

As the Visionary and Founder of Hearts at Home, Inc…

I began this journey with a simple yet powerful mission to create a loving, supportive, and family-centered environment for children with developmental disabilities and their families.

Growing up with my sister, who has a developmental disability, I witnessed my mother’s strength, patience, and unwavering dedication firsthand. That experience shaped my purpose and inspired me to learn everything I could to help her and other families navigate the unique challenges and joys of raising a child with special needs.

My journey as a teacher deepened that passion even more. Every student reminded me of the power of inclusion, compassion, and individualized care. When I became a mother myself, my heart for advocacy grew stronger than ever. I knew I wanted to help parents feel supported, empowered, and never alone.

For over 15 years, I’ve dedicated my life to creating opportunities that help each child reach their fullest potential. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Benedict College and am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Special Education at the University of Phoenix.

As an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist, Job Coach, Teacher, and Community Leader, I’ve had the privilege of combining my professional expertise with my passion for service.

At Hearts at Home, I take great pride in leading a compassionate team that believes every child deserves to feel valued, included, and supported not just in school, but in life. Hearts at Home is more than an organization, it’s a community built from the heart. A place where families are embraced, children are celebrated, and every story truly matters.
